What time is the World Cup final kick-off and who is in it? TV channel and how to live stream

Argentina face France in the 2022 World Cup final this weekend.

La Selección won the tournament in 1978 and 1986 but suffered agony in the 2014 final against Germany having also finished as runners-up in 1990 and 1930.

Lionel Messi and co. have a tough task on their hands when it comes to clinching a third title though as they look to topple the reigning champions who are bidding to become only the third side in history to successfully defend their World Cup crown.

It has been far from plain sailing for the pair in Qatar. Argentina started their campaign with a shock 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia before beating Mexico and Poland to top their group.

They have gone on to dump out Australia, Netherlands and Croatia to book their place in the showpiece final. As for Didier Deschamps' men, they emerged victorious against Australia and Denmark before suffering a surprise loss to Tunisia, although their place in the knockout rounds had already been secured by that point.

Les Bleus have since knocked out Poland, England and Morroco en route to what is their fourth World Cup final.

The 2022 World Cup final gets under way at 3pm (UK time) on Sunday, December 18. The game will be held at Qatar's Lusail Stadium.

Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will take charge of proceedings. The game will be screened live on BBC and ITV.
