The new season of The Mandalorian is set to hit Disney+ later this year, as the Star Wars spin-off show returns for a third outing. The formidable bounty hunter Din Djarin is back for more adventures in a galaxy far, far away, alongside his little green and Yoda-esque friend, Grogu.
The Mandalorian is set between 1983’s Return of the Jedi and 2015’s The Force Awakens, following the demise of Darth Vader and the fall of the Empire and before the rise of The First Order. The eight-episode season three will pick up where The Book of Boba Fett – a spin-off to the spin-off – left off.
Its trailer teases more action, more Jedi, more planets, and young Grogu getting to grips with his newly honed force powers. Disney’s official synopsis reads: “The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu.
