Love, Death & Robots is returning for a third volume in May. The trailer for the animated anthology series is available to watch on the official Netflix YouTube channel as well as the streaming service itself.
Netflix Geeked also sneakily announced the news of the series returning by dropping the trailer on Twitter, with the caption ‘’We interrupt this feed to bring you a very special message... LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS: VOLUME 3 ... May 20.’’
The trailer begins with snippet scenes from Netflix series, The Crown and The Queen's Gambit which preceded text on the screen which then states ‘’from the streamer that brought you The Crown [and] The Queen's Gambit comes the return [of] 11-time Emmy Award-winning problem child."

This is then followed by new scenes in Love, Death & Robots volume three where robots are arguing. The trailer then proceeds to show shortcut preview scenes that viewers can expect to see in the upcoming film.
This includes action, giants, more mystical creatures and romance. For those who are unfamiliar with the animated series, Love, Death & Robots is known for telling tales that explore alternate histories, life for robots in a post-apocalyptic city and a plot for world domination.
The show’s director includes Oscar-nominated director David Fincher. The official Netflix description of the series reads ‘’terrifying creatures, wicked surprises and dark comedy converge in this NSFW anthology of animated stories presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher.’’
This series from Tim Miller and David Fincher won the 2019 and 2021 Emmys for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program.
