When is the FPL deadline? Time to pick your fantasy football team for new 2024/25 season

A new Premier League season is almost upon us, and with it a new FPL season begins.

Fantasy Football has never been more popular, with around 11 million users facing off against one another last season.

For the last few days and weeks, millions of users have been chopping and changing their FPL squads to make the £100million budget stretch as far as they can.

Is Erling Haaland worth £15m? Is Mohamed Salah essential? Who is the best goalkeeper? Is Valentín Barco still the best 4.0m defender?

So many questions, and so little time left to decide. All that hard work must be finalised before the Gameweek 1 deadline.

As with every GW deadline throughout the season, it is 90 minutes before the first game of the weekend kicks off.

The new 2024/25 season begins tonight at Old Trafford, as Manchester United host Fulham.

The Gameweek 1 deadline is at 6.30pm BST on Friday, August 16, 2024.

Once that time has passed, now further changes can be made to your GW1 squad and must be delayed until Gameweek 2.
