The Department for Work and Pensions has confirmed when people can expect to receive their first Cost of Living payment.
Many people across the country will be waiting eagerly to receive the first payment in the new tax year as taxes and bills rise dramatically. The payments will be handed out to claimants receiving means-tested benefits such as Universal Credit, Income-based Jobseekers Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Pension Credit.
This will be the first of three cost of living payments over 2023/24 totalling to £900.
