Australian soap Neighbours, which has been running for 37 years, has filmed its final ever scene. The show has officially ceased production after it was announced earlier this year it had lost its slot on Channel 5.
Taking to social media on June 10, Neighbours shared a poignant picture of the cast on set for their last day. In the image, Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne, who play Dr Karl and Susan Kennedy, could be seen holding the final clapperboard. "That's a wrap," the soap told their fans, followed by a yellow heart emoji.
Neighbours first aired in 1985 and has been on screens for nearly four decades. It follows the lives of those living and working in the fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough.
