Manchester City reached the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup for the fourth season in a row after they avoided a slip-up against Peterborough United tonight.
Pep Guardiola's side had a slow first half with the hosts limiting City to few chances. The Posh, who recently appointed Grant McCann as manager after the resignation of Darren Ferguson, were unable to live with the Citizen's in the second half with Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish strikes sealing the Premier League leaders' progression.
There will be a different name on the trophy to last season after Nottingham Forest knocked out Leicester City, whilst 14-time champions Arsenal also fell victim at the hands of the Midlands side. City's arch-rivals Manchester United were another Premier League side to be knocked out by a lower-ranked side.

Chelsea, Liverpool and City all currently remain in the competition and will be hoping to make it to Wembley Stadium and to ultimately lift the historic trophy.
Here is all you need to know about the draw for the FA Cup quarter-finals, including the all-important ball numbers, how to follow along and when matches will be played.
Who is still in the FA Cup?
Sixteen teams made it through to the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, with seven of the eight ties taking place between Tuesday-Thursday this week. Six of those sides have now secured their place in the quarter-finals, with City among those going through on Tuesday after their win over Peterborough.
Crystal Palace also joined them following their win over Stoke, while Championship side Stoke shocked Tottenham to book their place. Chelsea, Southampton and Liverpool all followed suit on Wednesday with victories over Luton, West Ham and Norwich.
Two ties remain, with Everton taking on the only remaining non-league side in the competition as they take on Boreham Wood on Thursday. Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield will battle it out for the final remaining place in the Sixth Round on Monday.

When is the draw for the quarter-finals and when will games be played?
The quarter-final draw will be televised on ITV on Thursday, March 3, 2022, prior to the fifth round tie between Everton and Boreham Wood, with coverage of the programme starting at 7:30pm.
This can also be streamed on the ITV Hub. Quarter-final ties will be played between Friday 18 March and Monday 21 March.
