Arsenal will face one of Manchester City or Newcastle in what promises to be a blockbuster Carabao Cup final clash at Wembley.
It’s an all-Premier League affair in the semi-finals of the competition this season as clubs battle to pick up the first major piece of 2025-26 silverware.
The final’s participants will be confirmed this week, with Arsenal beating Chelsea 1-0 in the second leg of a tie which the Gunners led 3-2 on aggregate from last month’s initial game.
On Wednesday, City will then aim to defend a 2-0 advantage from their first leg when they welcome cup holders Newcastle to the Etihad Stadium.

When is the Carabao Cup final?
The 2025-26 Carabao Cup final will take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 4.30pm GMT.
It will be played, as usual, at Wembley Stadium.
How to watch the Carabao Cup final
There are several options to follow the Carabao Cup final live, as it happens.
TV channel: The Carabao Cup has been televised live on Sky Sports and streamed online via the Sky Go app, and the final will be as well.
If it’s anything like last year, coverage will be expected to begin from 3pm GMT ahead of the 4.30pm kick-off.
Live stream: However, the Carabao Cup final is also being broadcast live and free to air on ITV, and can be streamed for free via the ITVX website and app.

Who will be in the final and who are the favourites?
Arsenal will take on the winner of Wednesday’s semi-final second leg, Man City vs Newcastle, at Wembley in the 2025-26 Carabao Cup final next month.
The Gunners return to the final of this competition for the first time since 2018, when they were comfortably beaten 3-0 by City.
That was Arsenal’s third time finishing as runners-up since they last lifted the League Cup back in 1993 by beating Sheffield Wednesday - when the competition was called the Coca-Cola Cup, and Paul Merson won man of the match in the final - which was followed by losses to Chelsea (2007) and Birmingham City (2011).
City have not returned to the Carabao Cup final since they last hoisted the trophy by beating Spurs in 2021. That was City’s sixth win in eight years, a run that included four straight victories. They have won this competition eight times overall, the second-most of any club behind Liverpool (10).
As for Newcastle, the Carabao Cup holders’ 2-1 win over Liverpool in last season’s final marked the club’s first piece of major domestic silverware since 1955.
