The official trailer of Texas Chainsaw Massacre is available on YouTube to watch and it promises a terrifying tale.
It begins on a high adrenaline rush as a blonde bobbed girl, Ruth (played by Nell Hudson from Cast Offs, crashes a truck she is driving into a Texas cornfield. With blood covering her face, she turns around and the scene then switches to a plain cornfield, where we hear a loud scream and Leatherface (Mark Burnham) appears to arise.
The trailer's narrator explains the setting is in Harlow and labels it as a ghost town. However, this is juxtaposed with a group of young friends walking in the town and their sense of hope as they believe it’s a chance to start afresh.
As the trailer progresses, we see other characters who will feature in the film, including Olwen Fouéré (Zone 414) who plays Sally, Sarah Yarkin (Eat, Brains, Love) who plays Melody, Elsie Fisher (Despicable Me 2) who plays Lila, Jacob Latimore (Collateral Beauty) who plays Dante and Jessica Allain (Thriller) who plays Dante’s girlfriend.
The trailer displays bursts of terror throughout and promises to live up to the horror of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as Leatherface wears the mask of human skin.
