When is Love Island over? 2022 series enters final week with iconic talent show tonight

Love Island’s talent show marks the gradual end of the reality programme as it enters its last full week on air.

The five couples left in the competition are all in with a chance of being crowned the Love Island 2022 winners next Monday and securing a £50,000 (€59,000) cash prize. And tonight marks the annual talent show which has produced cutesy and cringe moments in equal measure in previous years.

A sneak peek has already revealed that Danica will dance in tonight’s segment while Adam is set to perform magic tricks for the villa’s entertainment. Davide will whip out his apron for a cooking segment while Andrew uses his experience as an estate agent to his advantage.

Previous years have seen the talent show go viral but often for the wrong reasons. The 2022 contenstants will have to work hard to capture public attention as much as previous performances did.

Millie Court’s piano playing in last year’s competition became an instant meme that even featured in the promo for the current series. The hilarious moment trended on Twitter although many viewers watched behind their hands as she performed a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.”

Rap acts such as Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay’s performance in 2017 may not have worked a treat with viewers at the time, but the pair released rap tune Little Bit Leave It following their departure from the villa that managed to hit No. 15 on the UK charts.

But it was circus performer Cara de la Hoyde who undoubtedly stole the show in 2016 with her fire breathing exhibition in the talent contest. The 32-year-old stunned her fellow islanders after she blew fire out from her mouth, much to the visible shock of her partner Nathan Massey. The couple fanned the flames and ended up marrying in 2019.
