When is Diablo 4 Season 14 launching? New Diablo season release date, time, what to expect

Diablo 4 Season 14: Season of Death Awakening marks a new beginning for Blizzard’s ARPG. It introduces a new threat all across the sanctuary after Mephisto’s defeat in Lord of Hatred, and makes big changes to Mythics and Uniques.

Season of Death Awakening will be a traditional Diablo 4 season in terms of content drop. From new seasonal mechanics to bosses and a new battle pass, there’s plenty to dive into once again.

Below, we break down everything you need to know about Diablo 4 Season 14’s launch, including its release date, start time, and what new additions and changes you can expect.

Diablo 4 Season 14 release date countdown

Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening (Season 14) begins on June 30, 2026. Unlike Season of Reckoning, which launched alongside the Lord of Hatred expansion, Death Awakening will be a full-length season that should last 90 days.

Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening’s biggest new addition is the new Death Cult in Zarbinzet, which is the primary cause for the appearance of these Ruptures throughout Sanctuary. These Ruptures appear randomly across Sanctuary, especially in Helltides, bringing with them a slew of enemies (including the new Gravehounds) for you to slaughter and earn rewards from.

The mystery behind Death Cult’s appearance ties into the new seasonal questline. Speaking of which, Season of Death Awakening also adds new mini-dungeons called the Deathtoll Chamber. These can appear within Nightmare Dungeons or by defeating the Realmwalker, and are the primary source for Superior Lair Keys.

Other new additions include the much-requested Solo Self Found (SSF) mode, which lets you explore Sanctuary on your own. A Diablo 4 x Overwatch collab is also on the way and will add Hero-themed skins for each D4 class in the item store.

As for changes, Season 14 adds the ability to craft Mythic Uniques. Any Unique can now drop as a Mythic item or can be converted into one. In return, Mythics Uniques you find via drops will only have two fixed affixes.

In Season 14’s PTR, Mythic 3.0 changes caused a ton of backlash, given how it fundamentally changes endgame buildcrafting that heavily relied on using a few of the most powerful Mythic items.

Blizzard has heard the feedback and will tweak things accordingly while also implementing changes it believes are healthy for the game’s longevity.

These are some of the biggest additions and changes you can expect in Diablo 4 Season 14: Season of Death Awakening.
