Battlefield 6 Season 2 release date
EA has confirmed that Battlefield 6 Season 2 will release Feb. 17, 2026. So, at the time of writing, you still have more than a month left to complete the Battle Pass and earn all rewards from it.

Earlier, as per Dec. 2, 2025, the in-game counter showed the season would be ending in eight weeks, which, when calculated, turned out to be Jan. 27 this year.
However, on Jan. 13, the devs announced that the first season will now run until the launch of Season 2 on Feb.17, with the Season 1 extension update being released on Jan. 20. EA has extended the launch to allow extra time to further develop and refine Season 2 as a result of community feedback.
Everything the rest of Season 1 has in store
EA has also confirmed that a Frostfire Bonus Path will arrive on Jan. 27, and it’ll have new free and premium customization rewards, including a Weapon Package and a Soldier Skin, as well as XP Boosts, by advancing through the tiers of the Frostfire Bonus Path.
You’ll be able to access the Premium Tier Rewards by purchasing the Season 1 Battle Pass. Free rewards from the Frostfire Bonus Path will include a Hardware XP Boost, a Vehicle Skin, and playercard customization items, while Battle Pass owners will be able to grab a new Weapon Package, a Career XP Boost, and additional customization items.
You can complete the Frostfire Bonus Path concurrently alongside the Season 1 Battle Pass, and you won’t need to choose to make progress between the Season 1 Battle Pass Path. Each Bonus Path Tier requires 10 Bonus Path Points to unlock, with a total of 110 Bonus Path points required to fully complete the Bonus Path.
Unlike previous Bonus Paths, you can earn all Bonus Path Points for the Frostfire Bonus Path through Weekly Challenges, as no Bonus Challenges will be associated with this Bonus Path.
Later this update, you can also enjoy Valentine’s Day, which will introduce another set of daily login rewards, alongside several Double XP Weekends throughout the update period.
What to expect in Season 2?
Ahead of its release, multiple leaks have started surfacing, hinting at fresh maps from earlier datamines, possibly naval-focused with jet skis, alongside weapons like MG5 or BREN 2.
With that said, the devs will continue with UI tweaks and hit-reg fixes heading into 2026, building on Season 1’s foundation. RedSec could expand too, with more Gauntlet variants or Portal creations to influence core multiplayer.
Community feedback on aim assist and bloom from recent patches shapes this, while Season 2 might refine or polish those further.

How long is each season in Battlefield 6?
As of now, there has been only one season in Battlefield 6, and it runs about three months. Over this period, it’s packed with phased drops every few weeks, a shared Battle Pass, and free content for all players.
With Season 1 having progress tiers across maps, modes like Conquest or Escalation, and events to unlock cosmetics, weapons, and vehicles, Season 2 should follow suit. I will continue updating this article as more details are revealed in the coming days by EA.
