When is 'Alien: Romulus' coming to streaming?

Rain Carradine (Cailee Spaeny) armed with a pulse rifle as seen in "Alien: Romulus".

After some less-well-received installments, "Alien: Romulus" looks to have got the franchise back on track.

"Romulus" hit theaters on Friday, August 16, and debuted right at the No. 1 spot (ousting "Deadpool & Wolverine"). Across its run, the latest "Alien" film raked in $350 million at the global box office, and landed solid reviews: it's still sitting at an 80% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

If you're yet to check out Fede Álvarez's "Alien: Romulus", you're in luck: it's on Premium Video-on-Demand platforms and is due to start streaming soon. Having seen it myself, I can confidently say it's worth seeking out when it lands.

As with the rest of the best "Alien" movies, "Romulus" is a tense sci-fi thriller that also boasts killer performances from its main leads (Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson). It's also worth a viewing if you're at all excited about the "Alien: Earth" FX TV show.

If you've been waiting to watch it at home (so you can hide behind the sofa during the most unsettling parts?), or you're just looking forward to getting in a second viewing, here's what we about the "Alien: Romulus" streaming date right now.

When is 'Alien: Romulus' coming to streaming?

As of our latest update, we finally have an "Alien: Romulus" streaming date.

It's already been available to stream on PVOD since mid-October (as you can see in the above "Bring Home The Terror" trailer, but now we know when you can stream it without paying premium prices.

As a 20th Century Studios' movie, we've known that "Alien: Romulus" would come to Hulu. As of the time of writing, we now know that you'll be able to stream "Alien: Romulus" on Hulu from November 21.

In total, that's a 98-day theatrical window, which is only slightly longer than the 85-day wait for "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes".

If you're still a physical media kind of viewer, sadly, you'll have to wait even longer to revisit "Romulus". The DVD and Blu-ray release is set for December 3.

If "Romulus" was your first taste of the sci-fi franchise, and now you're hoping to stream more, check out our guide to how to watch the "Alien" movies in order, the five best movies to stream after "Alien: Romulus", or the streaming release of one of 2024's most controversial movies for even more scares.
