It's hard to imagine Princes Street without Primark now. But before it opened up in December 2011, Edinburgh teens would be forced to travel to Dunfermline to get their fashion fix - and it became a classic 00s day trip.
Renowned for its cheap prices and wide variety the clothes shop has always been popular amongst teens who don't have loads of money to spend on the high street.
When shoppers head into Primark it's usually for staples such as a pair of tights, socks or just to have a browse at what's new in.

But for kids in the 00s in Edinburgh visiting the store was much more exciting and a special event.
Back in the 2010's £30 would be plenty to buy you a whole new wardrobe carted back to the capital in the giant brown paper Primark bags.
Many teens would make the 20 minute trip over the bridge through to Dunfermline to visit its Primark store, as it was the nearest.
As excited twelve year olds, groups of friends would sit chattering on the short train ride about all the fashion staples we were going to purchase.
Still too young to travel to Glasgow on their own, Dunfermline was the next option and when they had saved enough money they would plan the day out.
Going to the only non-uniform in the capital there was a time that Primark see-through black leggings, zip up hoodies and a couple of pearl bracelets was practically school uniform and the shopping day out was a time to stock up on these essentials.
The fare would cost a couple of quid and you'd catch the train from Edinburgh Waverley - getting a return ticket.

A fifteen minute walk through Dunfermline town and teenagers would arrive to the store located on the high street. They would then spend hours browsing through the different floors filling our big blue baskets to the brim.
A fashion show would then commence in the changing rooms as they would come out to do a reveal to each other before moving on to the next piece.
Next they could carefully calculate how to spend our £30 - it was a very important decision back then - they'd finally pay and have a quick stop at Mcdonalds before hurrying to catch the train back.
