Ant and Dec have fuelled speculation about one of their other shows after an announcement made on Saturday Night Takeaway. And the show in question is TV institution Britain's Got Talent.
There was sadness amongst Takeaway fans last weekend when Ant revealed that the series was coming to an end. After being joined by Alan Partridge and George Ezra for the penultimate show, Ant and Dec will be back in Takeaway action for a final time this Saturday, with details of the last episode still under wraps.
But, the news that Saturday Night Takeaway was reaching its climax got ITV viewers thinking about another of the Geordie duo's other hit shows - Britain's Got Talent. Ant and Dec were last on BGT hosting duty in 2020, with the much disrupted series that year being won by their Golden Buzzer act - piano playing comedian Jon Courtenay.

Sadly for everyone involved and the show's millions of fans, BGT was scrapped altogether due to the coronavirus pandemic, meaning anticipation is high for its big TV return. Teaser adverts have been on screen for the last few weeks and fans now think the fact that Saturday Night Takeaway ending means BGT will be back sooner rather than later.
In years gone by, Britain's Got Talent had been a big ratings winner over Easter and, with Takeaway's conclusion leaving a vacant Saturday primetime slot, predictions are that BGT 2022 will launch on Saturday, April 16.
It was over Easter weekend in 2009 the nation and, indeed the world, got their first look at Susan Boyle's incredible audition, with her amazing rendition of I Dreamed A Dream quickly going viral. While Susan didn't end up winning, Britain's Got Talent winners so far have including Diversity, Collabro and George Sampson.
