When did Oasis last perform together? How band split up... and their final setlist

Oasis fans have been sharing their joy at the prospect of seeing the Gallagher brothers together on stage again after 15 years apart for their 2025 reunion tour.

Whether to appease their expectant fans or to enjoy the proceeds of their shows, which will reportedly amount to £50m, Noel and Liam have either made up or put their feud on ice for at least 17 shows next year.

“This is it. This is happening,” the Gallagher brothers both wrote on their social media pages in a highly anticipated announcement at 8am on Tuesday.

Gem Archer and Bonehead are expected to be along for the ride although it has not been confirmed if drummer Alan White will join.

Tickets are set to go on sale soon with a pre-sale being extended.

Though fans have been positive about a reunion, concerns have been raised about high ticket prices and accommodation, and the prospect of Liam and Noel having another falling out.

Here is what happened last time they went on tour.

When did Oasis last perform together?

Oasis were down to headline V Festival in 2009 and did somewhat fulfil this brief - playing in Weston Park in Staffordshire on Saturday, August 22.

In those days, the festival was held on back-to-back days, with Oasis part of a line-up that was due to play Hylands Park in Essex on Sunday, August 23. But this never happened. Liam contracted laryngitis and was not able to perform, leading to the show being cancelled, with Snow Patrol headlining instead.

Oasis fan Chris Berrow, who was then 19, had tickets for the Sunday and missed out

“We got there and we waited and waited and there was this rumour going around that they weren’t going to play and we didn’t know what was happening,” he said.

“There was this announcement that Oasis weren’t going to play and Snow Patrol were going to step up and cover their slot.”

When did Oasis split up?

The following week, Oasis were due to headline Rock en Seine festival near Paris but, once again, the concert didn’t take place.

The band split up just hours before they were meant to take to the stage.

Bloc Party were halfway through their set when their frontman Kele Okereke announced that they were to be headliners “by default”.

The indie rock band were one of several to have had bad blood with Oasis - with Liam Gallagher in 2005 saying members looked like a team from University Challenge.

“I’d like to dedicate this next song to anyone who really wanted to see those inbred twins,” Okereke told the Rock en Seine crowd.

Oasis’s shows in Konstanz and Milan were also cancelled.

Shortly after the Rock en Seine no-show, Noel Gallagher then shared a statement which read: “It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.

"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

Liam told Jonathan Ross in 2019 that he was too “rock and roll” for his brother and that this led to gigs being cancelled.

“I don’t know what I’ve done wrong but we’ll get to the bottom of it one day,” he added.
