Arsenal's preparations for the 2023/24 season are close to being completely finalised.
Of course, as a result of finishing second in the Premier League and Manchester United's defeat in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon, the Gunners' first competitive fixture of the new campaign will be against Manchester City on August 6, 2023 in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.
That game falls just six days before the brand new Premier League season gets under way with Arsenal and the other 19 teams in the division to discover their 2023/24 fixture list in full when all is announced later this month.

But there is a lot of work to be done for Mikel Arteta to ensure his side are raring to go. With that said, football.london understands that the first-team players are due to report back to the club's training base at London Colney following their summer holidays during the first week of July.
Considering a number of senior stars such as Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale and Jorginho have upcoming international commitments, it remains to be seen if they are given extra time off - as was the case a year ago after the UEFA Nations League ties for example - and therefore link up with their teammates at a later date.
From there Arsenal's second successive summer training camp at the Adidas HQ in Germany will start on the week of the 10th with a game likely to be played on the 13th.
Then the squad will travel to the United States of America for their pre-season tour. The first of three fixtures will be against MLS All Stars XI in Washington on July 20, before facing Manchester United in New York on July 23 and then rounding off the trip with a game against Barcelona in LA.
Now, as a result of being involved in the Community Shield at the beginning of August upon returning to England, Arsenal's plans have slightly changed as football.london understands they initially planned to play a friendly in Europe on that weekend, but that's no longer the case as they'll be facing Man City instead.
In addition, the club are planning to host a one-day Emirates Cup tournament on August 2 with the opponents to be either Ligue 1 outfit Monaco or Portuguese giants Benfica.
