Mikel Arteta saw his Arsenal squad strengthened further in January as Leandro Trossard and Jorginho arrived from fellow Premier League teams, whilst young defender Jakub Kiwior joined from Italian side Spezia.
The Gunners currently sit five points clear of second-placed Manchester City ahead of Sunday's trip to Tottenham for Pep Guardiola's side. The prospect of winning a first Premier League title in 19 years becomes more realistic as each week passes, despite the 1-0 defeat to Everton.
Arteta, alongside Sporting Director Edu, had constructed a squad perfectly balanced with experience and youth. Whilst the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have won plenty of plaudits in attack, the wisdom of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka has been equally as critical in midfield.
