The 29th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) will take place on Sunday, February 26 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
The last major awards show before the Oscars and recognises outstanding achievement in both TV and film.
The SAG Awards were founded in 1952 and are regarded particularly highly by actors as voting is limited to their peers.
The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All at Once lead the way this year with five nominations each in the film category.
The final season of Ozark tops the television category with four nominations.
Here’s all you need to know about the SAG Awards 2023, including the nominations and how to stream them on Netflix’s YouTube channel.
When are the SAG Awards?
The live event will take place on Sunday, February 26 starting at 8pm ET and 4pm GMT.
How to watch the SAG Awards
The ceremony will be broadcast live on Netflix’s YouTube channel globally for the first time. Netflix and the SAG Awards have entered a multi-year partnership which will see the platform also live-stream the event in 2024.
The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) national executive director, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to embark on this exciting new partnership with Netflix and we look forward to expanding the global audience for our show. As the only televised awards programme exclusively honouring the performances of actors whose work is admired by millions of fans, the SAG Awards are a unique and cherished part of the entertainment universe.”
Telecast producer and SAG Awards Committee member Elizabeth McLaughlin said the new Netflix venture would ensure the awards would be more “intimate”.

SAG Awards voting process
The ceremony differs from other awards shows such as the Golden Globes and the Oscars as active SAG-AFTRA members cast their ballots.
The voting committees are randomly drawn each year with the voting process taking place in two stages. These include the nominations balloting and the final balloting.
