When are Leeds United's 22/23 Premier League fixtures released?

It might feel like Leeds United only just confirmed their Premier League safety for another season, but plans are already well underway for their third season in the division. Transfer business has already begun. Despite the window not officially being open, Brenden Aaronson became their first signing of the summer at the end of April, whilst Rasmus Kristensen - another player from RB Salzburg is set to join him soon.

In the very near future, Jesse Marsch and his side will discover who they will prepare to face in their opening fixture of the Premier League, as the fixture list comes out next week. The way the fixtures fall can play a significant role in shaping what a team's season unfolds like and the Whites experienced tough starts in their first two seasons back in the division, as they faced Liverpool at Anfield in 20/21 before traveling to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the opening game of 21/22.

In both cases, Leeds came away with nothing but the Liverpool game was far better for morale, as Marcelo Bielsa's side had gone toe-to-toe with the Premier League champions and lost 4-3 in a match decided by a late penalty for Liverpool. Meanwhile, the Manchester United game was far more damaging as Leeds lost 5-1. Subsequently, it took the Whites seven league games to pick up a victory and instead of a comfortable season in mid-table like 20/21, 21/22 was a relegation battle throughout.
