The 2022 World Cup is now well underway, with all nations having played at least one game so far.
The huge football competition kicked off in Qatar on Sunday, November 20, with England among those hoping for glory this winter. As well as the Three Lions and the host nation, another 30 teams qualified for the competition.
England was placed in a group with Wales, Iran and the USA. Qatar lost its first ever World Cup appearance, against Ecuador, with a 2-0 defeat.

This made Qatar the first host nation to lose their opening game. They also became the first host nation in 52 years to fail to score on the opening day.
The tournament is the second to take place in Asia, after Japan and South Korea hosted the event in 2002. This World Cup will be the last to feature 32 teams, with the tournament being expanded from 2026 onwards, to include some 48 nations.
The Quarter Finals begin on Friday, December 9, with the Semis then taking place on December 13 and 14. Billions of eyes will be on Qatar for the World Cup final, which will be held on Sunday, December 18, at Lusail Stadium, coinciding with Qatar's National Day.
Kick-off is set for 3pm, UK time. It is not yet known which channel will stream the final, though games have been split between ITV and the BBC.
