Dozens of phones will no longer be able to support WhatsApp in the new year due to an upcoming update. The social media app, owned by Meta (previously Facebook) issued a warning to its users.
Some Android and iPhone devices will no longer be able to support the messaging service due to the change from December 31, 2022. It is part of the tech giant's latest round of updates.
It will mostly impact those who use 47 of the older devices that do not have operating systems capable of hosting WhatsApp's latest features. As reported by the Liverpool Echo, major brands including Samsung, LG and Sony will be affected, as well as several Apple iPhone models.
