WhatsApp has announced a huge video chat update, but only some people will be able to use it.
The Meta-owned app is the world's most popular messaging platform, with some two billion users across the globe. While you can currently perform video calls on WhatsApp, an update will see this feature made bigger and better.
Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg announced the feature in a Facebook post, where he added that video calling now supports up to 32 people. WhatsApp currently can only allow calls of up to eight people.

The bad news is, the feature is being "tested" and "rolled out", meaning not everybody will be able to access it.
Mr Zuckerberg said: "We're rolling out call links on WhatsApp starting this week, so you can share a link to start a call with a single tap. We're also testing secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 people. More coming soon".
The move will see video call links, similar to those used on Zoom and Google Meet. It comes just a month after WhatsApp announced new privacy features, such as users being able to leave group chats less obviously, and a new tool that stops people from taking screenshots when messages are sent under the "view once" setting.
