WhatsApp’s AI assistants are ready to chat in the app’s latest beta

Back in April, we learned that Meta would be introducing generative AI to its products, and now beta testers are getting a taste of what that’s like for its WhatsApp messaging app.

As spotted by the WhatsApp watchers at WABeta Info, versions of the app containing AI chat buddies appeared on 17 November for Android and 23 November for iPhone.
