Arsenal defender William Saliba will not play for Mikel Arteta's side again this season. The Frenchman has missed the final two months of the season after sustaining a back injury against Sporting CP.
In his absence, the Gunners have suffered greatly. His importance to the team and Arteta's style of play has been highlighted in recent weeks, with Arsenal conceding 16 goals from nine games and losing grip on the Premier League title race.
Saliba has enjoyed a wonderful debut campaign in England after three loan spells away from France. His partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes was crucial in the north Londoners' trajectory to the top of the table and he's set to be rewarded for his form with a new contract.
