The Government and Buckingham Palace have confirmed that the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth will be held on Monday, September 19. And it has been confirmed that most people across the country will have a day off as the date has been declared a bank holiday.
Many elements of the funeral will be held outside as there are expected to be processions going into Westminster Abbey and at Windsor - with huge crowds gathering in London for the funeral.
The Met Office says that, at present, the forecast for September 17 appears to show the weekend before the funeral will be: "Dry for most, with clear sunny spells once early mist and fog clears. Some patchy cloud and showers possible across the far north and northwest."
There is uncertainty for the day itself, with the Met Office saying it is likely conditions will be settled and dry - but warning that heavy rain and strong winds could surface at some point during that week.
They add: "More settled weather, with dry conditions for many, is likely to continue into the following week, however a spell of more unsettled weather with heavy rain and stronger winds cannot be ruled out.
"Temperatures likely to be near normal throughout the period."
The most detailed forecast for London at the minute ends on Saturday, September 17 when temperatures will hit 18C and the say will start sunny before becoming overcast in the afternoon.
Full details of the funeral including where crowds can gather and any procession routes and times will be confirmed in the coming days.
