LUCKNOW: An undated picture of Akhilesh Yadav with the father of one of the 38 convicts sentenced to death in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case on Saturday became BJP’s election-eve ammo against the SP chief, among the contenders for one of the 59 assembly seats in UP that will go to polls on Sunday in the third phase.

Union minister and BJP’s joint UP in charge Anurag Thakur held copies of the picture in either hand and questioned what Akhilesh was doing beside Shahbad Ahmad, father of convicted terror conspirator Mohammad Saif.
