Italy return to the venue of their Euro 2020 triumph when they face Argentina at Wembley on Wednesday evening in the highly anticipated Finalissima. The match sees the European champions and Copa America winners clash in a one-off game.
The Italians beat England on penalties last July to seal a second European championship success in their history, and the Argentines beat fierce rivals Brazil to win the Copa America; their first major title since 1993. Which was the same year this fixture last took place, this will be the third such occasion the match will be played.
The contest will be decided by penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes, with extra time not taking place. The match is bound to pique the interest of Tottenham fans with Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso in the Argentina squad, whilst reported transfer target Alessandro Bastoni is in line to start for the Italians.
