  • Iran, however, has maintained that no direct talks are scheduled, with its top negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stating that further memorandum clauses would not be initiated until initial ones were finalised.
  • Ghalibaf also highlighted the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a 'divine gift' and a significant instrument of power for Iran.
  • Qatar confirmed that no high-level meeting between the US and Iran is planned, suggesting a stall in the peace process.
