According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Boston Celtics will face the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day. The matchup will pit the fierce rivals against each other in what will be a marquee matchup. Of course, on paper, the Sixers project to be a vastly improved team next season.
Daryl Morey has added Reggie Jackson, Andre Drummond, Caleb Martin and Paul George to the roster. As such, if healthy, the Sixers should match up well against Joe Mazzulla’s team, especially in terms of wing defense, where Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will likely take turns guarding George.
In the latest episode of the “Vitamin C” podcast, hosts Adam Taylor and Tim Sheils discuss potential matchups between the Celtics and Sixers. They dive into where each team will have an advantage, which bench unit is stronger and how the Celtics can look to exploit Joel Embiid on both sides of the ball.
