Eddie Howe is waiting to hear final decisions on potential loan targets ahead of the last day of trading in the summer window.
The Magpies have already spent around £122million in the current window and took their spending in 2022 over the £200million mark. Howe has not ruled out spending further Saudi funds on deadline day but indicated it would be the Premier League's loan market he may use if the right deal comes along.
Going into deadline day Howe said: "I need to see how the dust settles from the squad after Liverpool. "I will see if we have picked up any injuries - hopefully we haven't.

"I know Alex picked up a slight dead leg. Jamaal Lascelles picked up a knock too so we will see."
Newcastle have been linked with Chelsea players such as Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher in this window but the Blues seem reluctant to part company with the pair. Howe will also have outgoing business to deal with.
A loan offer from Hartlepool United for youngster Joe White could be in the pipeline while Matty Longstaff may also go out on loan. The big story could be the exit of Manchester United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
But Howe said: "I don't expect any outgoing business on senior players maybe one of the younger guys. Martin Dubravka we anticipate will leave us.
"One or two of the younger guys need game time."
