For the first time since being acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams for a 2023 sixth-round pick, new Tennessee Titans wide receiver Robert Woods addressed the media on Wednesday.
The Titans were able to finalize the trade with a little help from one of their team leaders, safety Kevin Byard, who had his contract restructured, freeing up $8.7 million in cap space.
In addition to that, Woods is coming cheaper than initially thought.
After the Rams picked up his $3.5 million roster bonus on Tuesday, Woods will now account for a $10 million cap hit with Tennessee in 2022, as opposed to the $13.5 million he was originally slated to cost.
Now, let’s see what Woods had to say about numerous topics during his first press conference in the two-tone blue (spoiler: you’re going to love this guy).
