Last year they took place much later on in the year due to the coronavirus pandemic but the Brit Awards return to their usual February slot this year as the likes of Sam Fender, Dave and Adele do battle for silverware.
One of the most watched awards shows year after year and British music's biggest night, the Brits are always unmissable viewing, whether it's because of amazing outlandish performances, unexpected collaborations or controversial moments.
Brits host this year is Mo Gilligan, who has the job of holding court over an audience of music stars and fans at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday evening.

He was announced as the event's new host at the end of November and commented: "“It’s an absolute privilege to host the 2022 BRIT Awards. I’m truly honoured to be asked.
"We’re already in the extensive planning stages and all I can say is, I promise we’re going to give it all we’ve got to create an incredible night for music fans everywhere. Let’s go!"
What time are the Brits on ITV?
Live coverage of the event will get going at 8pm on ITV on Tuesday, February 8.
It will follow Live from the Red Carpet, which will be hosted by Clara Amfo and Maya Jama on ITV2..
Brit nominees this year include Adele, Sam Fender and Dave, who are all up for multiple accolades, while performers will come from the likes of Ed Sheeran and Liam Gallagher.
ITv's broadcast is scheduled to run until 10.30pm but, as ever with live events, don't be surprised if it ends up running over.
Other acts who will take the stage include Anne-Marie and Ed Sheeran.
Last year Little Mix made Brits history by becoming the first female act to win the British Group award and they are nominated in the same category this year.
