Taoiseach Micheal Martin said: “The Government wants to support families and young people.”
Today’s Budget package will be the biggest giveaway in the history of the State, with the spending review and cost of living package to be worth more than €10 billion.
Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe is due to present the Budget to the Dail around 1pm, followed by a speech from Minister for Public Expenditure Michael McGrath.
