What time and TV channel is Liverpool v Manchester United on tonight?

Manchester United travel to Anfield on Tuesday night to clash with Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side remain on course for an unprecedented quadruple, having booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals last week before beating Manchester 3-2 in the FA Cup last four on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick gave United a 3-2 win over Norwich on the same day over the weekend following last week's disappointing 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

Ralf Rangnick remains without a number of key players but Bruno Fernandes is available following a car crash on Easter Monday.

Fred and Scott McTominay remain absent, so too do Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw and Raphael Varane did not train with the group on Monday.

Ronaldo is set to be absent after suffering the tragic loss of one of his newborn twins with partner Georgina Rodriguez.

Klopp has a decision to make over which centre-back to pair with Virgil Van Dijk for the visit of United.

Ibrahima Konate has scored the opening goal in his last three matches, including in their Wembley FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City at the weekend when Joel Matip, preferred for the league game against their title rivals, was rested.

Forwards Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino could come into the team having been introduced as late substitutes at the weekend.

Quotes corner

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: “We have to be angry in a good way, greedy all these kind of things, like you are if you have won nothing and would be with nil points and it’s the most important three points in your life.

“That’s the attitude we need for this game. If we let United do (what they want) they will cause us massive problems.

“We have to be in the right mood, the people have to be in the right mood to really be ready to fight for the three points and not want to show we are in a better moment than United. Who is interested about that?

“There are times when you have better moments than other teams then you get a knock and that’s it with the better moment. Who cares?

“They want the three points we need. That’s that attitude we have to show.”

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick: "A few things happened (since I arrived) – we also have to be honest with that.

“We lost a few players that we shouldn’t have lost. I spoke about that last week that bearing in mind what kind of offensive players we had available against West Ham (in January), which substitutions I could make in the last 15 minutes. Three of them are no longer here or injured, continuously injured.

“We lost a few other players. Right now we have a few injury problems with important players who should normally be in the starting XI but, again, this is no excuse, no alibi. Things happen.

“This is also an issue that worries me a little bit, the number of injuries that we currently have.

“If I compare that with Liverpool, although they’re still competing in four competitions I think they have no injury problems at all.

“We only play in the Premier League and we have five, six players injured.

“This is also an issue that needs to be taken care of for the future, to analyse why is that the case, why does that happen?

“But, again, for us now it is about travelling to Liverpool tomorrow, show our very, very best performance that we can show on the pitch.

“This is what I expect from all the players involved (on Tuesday), that we are good enough and that we want to win the game.”
