What exactly Thomas Tuchel must do to be at Chelsea FIFA Club World Cup final vs Palmeiras

Chelsea have been unable to turn to the talents of master tactician Thomas Tuchel for the FIFA Club World Cup thus far.

The German was forced into self-isolation having tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the squad's flight out to Dubai.

As a result, the former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund head coach missed the 1-0 victory over Al-Hilal in the semi-finals - Romelu Lukaku's solitary goal being enough to see the Blues book a date with Brazilian outfit Palmeiras.

Tuchel though has flown to Abu Dhabi ahead of Saturday's clash so football.london has taken a look at what he must to do before he is allowed to link up with the squad for the game.

According to the United Arab Emirates’ official government website, vaccinated travellers arriving from countries not on the ‘green list’ - the UK being one of those not included - are required to return a minimum of four negative PCR tests.

One test must be conducted within 48 hours of the passengers’ flight to Abu Dhabi. With Tuchel now in the coutry, it appears that he has already undergone those pre-travel checks.

The testing does not end there though with further PCR tests mandatory on arrival, on day four and day eight.

Fortunately though, travellers are not required to quarantine meaning that should all of the tests come back negative then Tuchel will be free to oversee preparations with his Chelsea squad.

Should quarantine rules not be followed then the offender would be forced to pay a fine of AED 50,000 or £10,055.

Tuchel then will certainly hope that all of his tests come back negative and he will be able to link up with his squad and hopefully list another trophy as Blues boss.
