Thiago Alcantara was left in tears on the bench ahead of Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final with Chelsea at Wembley.
Despite being named in his side’s starting line-up, Thiago picked up an injury during Liverpool's warm-up and was forced to miss the game.
Naby Keita replaced the Spanish international in his side’s starting line-up, with Harvey Elliott coming on to the bench for the Reds.
But the injury was clearly a devastating blow for Thiago, who could be seen in tears as the two sides made their way onto the pitch at Wembley.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich playmaker was consoled by Alisson Becker, who has been replaced in his side’s starting line-up by Caoimhin Kelleher.
Speaking on Thiago’s injury ahead of kick-off, former Reds defender Jamie Carragher believes it will be a massive blow for his old side.
He said: “It massively changes it, that’s a huge blow. The partnership between Thiago and Fabinho, the record is absolutely fantastic.
“The last game at Stamford Bridge, that was the one area Chelsea really dominated Liverpool in the centre of the pitch. That’s a huge blow for Liverpool.”
