I had the same score as you heading into the week as well. I was expecting the Chargers to play their asses off. They had MUCH more to lose than the Detroit Lions in this game. 6-3 isn’t the end of the world, but 4-5 drops them to 12th.

A look at the Chargers side…

Biggest takeaway from this game is that Justin Herbert needs to have better leadership and grit to not let his defense allow 41 points, 56% success rate (96th percentile btw) and let every Detroit drive end in opposing territory.

Outside of that small blemish, he was fantastic

The warts on this defense really show every time they have to play a competent QB. The Lions can do enough on offense to still edge out these wins but man it’s going to be tough sledding in the playoffs

The Lions had perfect offensive game today: 0 turnovers, 10 yards per pass play, and 200+ rushing yards.

NFL teams were 55-0 when hitting those three marks in a game. And, while it was a close one, Detroit made it 56-0.
