James McFadden and Alan Hutton raved about Anthony Ralston following Scotland's win over Armenia at Hampden.
The ex- Scotland internationals were seriously impressed by the Celtic right-back's display as the 23-year-old grabbed his first international goal on his first start for his country.
The Premier Sports pundits watched from the sidelines as Ralston and Co soundly defeated their opponents to get their Nations League campaign off to a flying start ahead of this weekend's clash with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
Here's what McFadden and Hutton had to say:
James McFadden
"A really strong performance from Anthony Ralston. I said this before but a year ago would you have imagined Anthony Ralston being anywhere near a Scotland squad? No. It shows you the hard work he's put in.
"He's taken his chance at club level and he's certainly taken his chance at international level as well.
"I wonder if Steve Clarke had it in his mind that this was the game for Anthony Ralston, Saturday is the game for Nathan Patterson and the next one for Steven O'Donnell.
"But I think Anthony Ralston has done enough [to start in Dublin].
"His positional sense was really good and he was a threat in an attacking sense."
Alan Hutton
"I though he [Ralston] was excellent. Obviously it was a big opportunity for him tonight and he came in and shone out there.
"He made great runs all night.
"He went out there and he proved a point and he made the position his own for this moment in time.
"I think the long-term future has to be Nathan Patterson, for me, moving forward, if he gets to the standard we know he can.
"But at this moment in time, it has to be Anthony Ralston. He has to play.
