The decision to award Rangers a penalty against Hibs has been backed up by the pundits.
In the opening exchanges of the clash, Paul McGinn looked to have clipped Ryan Kent as he burst into the box at pace.
That saw referee Nick Walsh point to the spot, and skipper James Tavernier stepped up to the spot to open the scoring.
The victory was sealed by Alfredo Morelos as Shaun Maloney's men struggled to break though the champions defence.
There was immediate complaints from McGinn and his Hibs teammates over the incident, but pundit Alan Hutton firmly disagreed.
He told Rangers TV: "There is no argument, it's an absolute stonewaller.
"Ryan Kent continued his form from the Hearts game going down the line. When you do that to a defender there is only going to be one outcome. He's going to bring him down.
"For me it's an absolute stonewaller.
"You know as a defender, it's last ditch defending.
Alex Rae also insisted that the whistler had got the big call right.
He chimed in: "We spoke about Ryan Kent's confidence going into the game tonight. There are two defenders there and he has them right on the back foot.
"By getting them on the back foot he gets them bang in trouble.
"McGinn actually has a smile on his face as he holds his head in his hands there, as if he got the ball.
"You see that he doesn't actually get any of the ball."
The feeling was shared by BBC Sportsound pundits Rory Loy and Michael Stewart.
As Kent took a tumble, Loy said: “Ryan Kent has quick feet, and he’s brought down. It looks like a penalty to me."
Stewart backed up his fellow pundit adding: “I’m not really sure what Hibs are complaining about. He dangles a leg out and it’s a stonewall penalty."
