Perisic returns
A familiar face returned to Hotspur Way on Friday following his time at the World Cup. It was indeed Ivan Perisic, who had helped Croatia claim third place at the tournament following their 2-1 win over Morocco in the third-place play-off.
Speaking at his press conference on Friday afternoon, Conte did confirm that the experienced wing-back had returned to training and was available for the game at Brentford on Boxing Day. Perisic did receive a brilliant welcome once he joined the rest of his teammates in the gym.
Entering to chants of "Ivan!" as he made his way in, the Croat went to shake hands with his teammates when they were going through a number of stretches. Rubbing Dejan Kulusevski's hair and pushing him to the ground just as he sat up to greet his teammate, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg then got to his feet and gave the returning player a hug.

Kane all smiles
Harry Kane is also back with his Tottenham teammates ahead of the Premier League restart after returning to Hotspur Way for training on Thursday. The striker did surprise his teammates at half-time during Wednesday's friendly against Nice by making an appearance in the dressing room.
Suffering heartache at the World Cup after missing a penalty in England's 2-1 quarter-final defeat against France, the striker did appear to be in very good spirits during Friday's training session at their Enfield base. As ever, Kane was found with his close friends Eric Dier and Matt Doherty as they had a chat when Tottenham's No.10 was doing some work on an exercise bike.
Sessegnon boost
It has been a frustrating few weeks for Ryan Sessegnon after working his way back to fitness from the injury he sustained in the Carabao Cup defeat away at Nottingham Forest in November. Training away from the team when Antonio Conte had an opportunity to work closely with the players, the left wing-back unfortunately missed out in Spurs' three friendlies because of the injury issue.
Sessegnon was back on the bench against Nice but he was not brought on in the second half by his boss, thus highlighting that he probably isn't quite there with his fitness just yet. He is back on the pitch and training with his teammates, though, and will now be looking to make up for lost time.
Missing duo return
Sessegnon wasn't the only Tottenham player not involved in the Nice encounter as Djed Spence and Oliver Skipp were also forced to sit out of the 1-1 draw. Ahead of the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Conte confirmed that the duo, as well as Son Heung-min, had been suffering with a fever prior to their third and final friendly.
Whereas Son took to the pitch as he came on for the final 16 minutes, Spence and Skipp missed out completely on the matchday squad. The duo were back involved in Tottenham training on Friday, which certainly bodes well for Monday's clash at Brentford.
Spence, who impressed in the first two friendlies, will be hoping minutes come his way at right wing-back, with Skipp fighting it out with Yves Bissouma for a starting spot in midfield as Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended.
