What Spurs' Rodrigo Bentancur and Son Heung-min did during Uruguay vs South Korea World Cup draw

Rodrigo Bentancur and Son Heung-min enjoyed a wholesome moment during Uruguay and South Korea's 0-0 draw at the World Cup on Thursday.

Although the game started proceedings in Group H, there were very few moments of magic as the two sides produced a goalless draw at the Education City Stadium in Ar-Rayyan. Plenty of talent was on the pitch, including the likes of Liverpool's Darwin Nunez, global superstar Luis Suarez and Real Madrid wizard Federico Valverde - who was awarded the Player of the Match on the day - but nothing could separate the sides.

Uruguay did manage to hit the woodwork twice. Veteran centre-back Diego Godin hit the post with a header from a corner late on in the first-half, then minutes from time, Valverde rocketed a shot from outside the box but it fizzled back off the upright.

Bentancur himself did produce a sublime bit of skill in the 56th minute of the game as he turned away from two hapless defenders before riding another challenge and winning his side a free kick from an almost impossible situation. However, other than that, the only thing worth noting for Spurs fans was the touch of friendship shown between Uruguay's number six and Son.

As seen on Reddit, whilst the ball was out for a throw-in in the first-half of the clash, the two were seen giving each other a 'low five' before Bentancur appeared to briefly hug his Tottenham teammate. The Uruguayan then refocused and marked Son as he aimed to clear the ball away from his nation's penalty area.

It was ultimately a lovely moment in an otherwise average game. Whether the two will meet again later in the tournament remains to be seen, though that would be incredibly unlikely.
