We're on the hunt for the best Italian restaurant in Merseyside.
Merseyside has an abundance of great Italian restaurants, and all of us will likely have eaten in at least one in the past few months given the sheer amount of them in each of the boroughs.
Pasta and pizza are some of the most common dishes in our day-to-day lives, but these restaurants - city staples for decades now - take the staples a step further, doing them the traditional way and often giving their own spin on the classics.
In Liverpool alone we've got arguably some of the best Italian restaurants in the country. On Castle Street alone you have places like San Carlo and Bacaro which are massively popular. Then further afield places like Casa Italia have been serving Scousers for decades now.
That's not to forget the offerings over the water and in Sefton and Knowsley. In Wirral, restaurants like Pesto at the Dibbinsdale Inn push the envelope on just what an Italian can be with their Italian tapas.
And in Sefton places like Volare and Gusto Trattoria have provided families and groups of friends with a great meal out for years now.
Tell us what your favourite Italian restaurant is in Merseyside by voting in our poll, and tell us why you chose it in the comments.
If your favourite restaurant doesn't appear, use the 'other' option and we'll endeavour to add it into the list.
