The United Kingdom and France have reached a new agreement aimed at preventing tens of thousands of migrants from crossing the English Channel from France in small boats, following talks on Thursday.

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in London on Tuesday for a three-day visit, marking the first state visit by a European leader since Britain’s exit from the European Union.
