What’s driving cancer rate in Malwa, the cotton belt of the country?

Situated to the south of the Sutlej River and the west of the Sivalik Hills, nestles the Malwa region in Punjab. It is also called the cotton belt of India, especially in the Southern and Southwestern parts of the region. Despite its natural and geographical glory, the Malwa region is also called the cancer belt of the country.
