Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst will need maximum points between now and the World Cup break on top of a Champions League upturn to keep the nagging voices for his sacking away.
The Dutchman is facing exit calls from some sections of the Ibrox support after a 1-1 draw with Livingston on Saturday leaving them four points behind Celtic in the Premiership title race. Performances have been waning for weeks and they are already out of the elite European group stage after four losses from four games against Ajax, Liverpool and Napoli.
One of those was a 7-1 thrashing against Liverpool and domestic performances have been criticised too, albeit they have still managed to avoid defeat since losing to Celtic last month. Former Light Blues striker Kenny Miller believes that Rangers need to win all their games between now and next month, on top of positive displays in Europe against Napoli and Ajax to try and get into the Europa League.

"He's not drilled into one way of playing but he needs to find a way to be competitive. What I would say is that playing like this, Rangers do not win the league.
"That's the long and short of it. He can survive. He needs to have an improved performance in the Champions League to round that off and he probably need maximum points (from four remaining league games before the break."
