Prices in the Capital are soaring to new highs with property prices - be it buying or renting - being a little higher than we would like.
And although the news may be great for sellers, for those looking to move, especially first-time buyers, it's made things a little tricky as they try and get on the ladder.
However whilst this is the case, it hasn't stopped people for searching for their dream property with stats by Rightmove revealing that on average, there are over 141 million visits to their site every month.

In addition, there are over one million properties for sale and to rent on Rightmove. So with this in mind, we wanted to take a look at what we could rent in the city for the average property price across Scotland.
What properties you can buy in Edinburgh for Scotland's average renting price
According to data from Rightmove for this month, the average rental price across the whole of Scotland stands at £878 per month. So taking a look at Rightmove, here's just some properties we found in the area that you can rent for roughly the same price.
Parkside Terrace, Newington, Edinburgh, EH16
This property is located just a few minutes walk from The Meadows and the University of Edinburgh. It compromises of two bedrooms as well as one bathroom.

This rental is on the slightly more on the expensive side with the price per month sitting at £900 per month. This is the equivalent to £208 per week.
The flat boats two bedrooms and one bathroom and is located in an attractive development on Cygnet Court, which is just off Duddingston Road in the Willowbrae area, to the east of the city.
