One of the highlights of the transfer window for Leeds United will be securing a loan deal for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie. The USA international has been vocal about how excited he is to be playing for the Whites and brings another option into manager Jesse Marsch's dressing room.
McKennie is the third American addition to the squad this season after 'partner-in-crime' Tyler Adams and World Cup teammate Brenden Aaronson arrived in the summer, and highlights further US involvement in the club, with the 24-year-old pictured next to Adams as he held up his shirt for the press.
The midfielder seems to be comfortable at his new club but he can't get his feet under the table because the deal isn't a permanent one. It is indeed just a loan move, although that could quickly change.

After starting every game for the USMNT at the World Cup in Qatar last month, McKennie will be vying for the starting role alongside Adams under Marsch's tutelage for the next few months.
If he manages to reach 10 appearances this season for the Whites, one of the two 'buy option' clauses in his contract at Elland Road will have been triggered with the price reported to be set at £30 million.
The other clause that could see a permanent deal automatically done is if Leeds manage to stay in the Premier League at the end of the season, but with the Whites sitting in 15th and just a point above the relegation zone, that's far from a certainty, even if optimism is high.
However, fans and the club alike will be hopeful that their new additions, including McKennie, will march on together up the table and avoid the drop for the second straight season, meaning the American would become a permanent Leeds player by the start of next season.
