Plans can change within seconds during a game of football, and Fabio Vieira experienced this during Arsenal's 3-2 win over Liverpool.
The Gunners twice led at the Emirates Stadium thanks to an early goal from Gabriel Martinelli and then through Bukayo Saka's toe-poke right at the very end of the first half. But on each occasion, they were pegged back with Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino responding for the visitors.
However, it was third time the charm as Saka confidently dispatched a penalty with 15 minutes left on the clock to complete a memorable eight days for Arsenal. Having also beaten Tottenham Hotspur in that period to boost their chances of an unlikely Premier League title challenge this season.

Interestingly, as spotted in Arsenal's latest 'Bench Cam' video of the season, which captured Mikel Arteta's every move in the dugout with the score locked at 2-2 he was planning to make an attacking change in the hope of claiming all three points as Vieira was ready to enter the fray.
We may never know who the £34m summer signing was going to replace, but the Spaniard had an immediate change of heart from the moment Saka's penalty hit the back of the net. Instead, the first Gunners substitution of the game occurred around six minutes later as Kieran Tierney replaced captain Martin Odegaard.
And Arsenal's second change came in the first minute of injury time - and it wasn't the introduction of Vieira either as Eddie Nketiah took the place of Gabriel Jesus, who 'won the penalty, showed great leadership on a day when cool heads were needed, and took a battering for his team'.
From looking like he would play a big role in helping Arsenal push for a winner during the closing stages after the penalty was converted, the Portuguese playmaker could be seen with his training jumper back on, and whilst he did enter the fray, it was as a 94th-minute replacement for Saka.
Not that Vieira appeared too concerned about the change of plans during the post-match celebrations on the pitch, and he's likely to see some action in the Europa League on Thursday as he looks to repeat his impressive performance against FK Bodo/Glimt from a week ago.
Meanwhile, during the post-match press conference, a visibly delighted Arteta spoke about the importance of beating a team like Liverpool: "That's when the feeling of winning is so powerful and meaningful today because I see a team I can identify with and the feeling that they stick to what they have to do and at the same time they have the courage to just go for it, and attack them and put them under pressure."
