Mesut Ozil praised Bukayo Saka for his performance in Arsenal's win over Liverpool on Sunday. The Gunners returned to the top of the Premier League table after defeating Jurgen Klopp's Reds 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
Saka - who scored two of the three Gunners goals - and Brazil international Gabriel Martinelli were instrumental on the day as a relentless Arsenal earned a well deserved three points. Martinelli opened the scoring in just 58 seconds to kickstart an electric afternoon.
Liverpool levelled proceedings through Darwin Nunez after 34 minutes but Saka restored the Arsenal lead on the stroke of half-time. The Merseyside outfit levelled again on 53 minutes as Roberto Firmino scored his 10th goal against the Gunners in just 17 appearances. But Arsenal were awarded a penalty 15 minutes from time thanks to a challenge from Thiago Alcantara on Gabriel Jesus and Saka made no mistake from 12 yards as he slotted his attempt past Alisson Becker.

Ozil, who played alongside the Englishman during his time in north London, recognises Saka's talent and believes he's going from strength to strength. Taking to Twitter, the German said: "Just love for my boy @BukayoSaka87 Rocking the Premier League... #YaGunnersYa #ARSLIV." The tweet was accompanied with three heart and fire emojis.
Saka shared the love, too. In response, the Arsenal star tweeted: "Love you too M10." His tweet was also accompanied with a kiss emoji, as the former teammates enjoyed a heartfelt moment.
World Cup winner Ozil was a controversial figure at the Gunners despite being the most successful player in the Emirates era. Saka, though, is very much a fan favourite and supporters will be hoping that he can continue his fine form moving forward.
